Rhythmic movements shovelling snow, unveiling like a virginal white blushing bride, exposed its truth revealed in bright winter sunlight. Stooping quickly now, catching me unawares, exquisite cold thrust down, exhilarating yet numbing me momentarily, I retaliate swinging wildly like a broken windmill, laughter my impediment, pealing like church bells at eventide. Concentrating now, rolling first his head an imperfect sphere knarled and knobbled, lopsided grin, a carrot his nose, slate for eyes, body bare, branches for arms, plant-pot hat, standing guard, stoic, silent, snowman. |

ah that winter air ... 'piping for the blood to dance!' ... fine 'slice of life' winter 'write' ... applause for this 'penning'! |
