Today, morals are regurgitated in the same way, spewed from the lips of young innocents whom society has stripped of all consciousness. The collective soul has taken its toll on a suffering world, having sucked it dry of its nutrients and supplanted them with mechanized bits created by idiots. As men act civilized, disregarding the savage instincts that once made them alive, contentment has become a crux of the progression necessary for sustaining life. Black hands carve their names in an empty plain, contorting its shape to suit their aims, for corruption sees this world through the scope of gain. Thus, mankind decays, in apprehension of the day when society will end, leaving behind a past tainted by death, while looking ahead to a future filled with life. "Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortals ever dared to dream before;" -Edgar poe |
