A motley mess my winter dress, warmed with Christmas colors, Reds and greens, yellow and blue ; my mood a hue bit darker. The coat I wear I do not zip, or button down if wool. The temperature is hard for me, too hot or far too cool To slide the jacket’s metal teeth, clamping the hold in full; On the edge of a seam it seems, my fingers the fabric folds. When asked to sit and stay a while, I fear my coat’s depart, My warmth enhanced by fabric, holds close my tearing heart; There’s no time to sit and talk, when distanced by apart. Shed the lining or shed the whole, the comfort is not there, Until the season changes leaves, upzipped my coat I’ll wear. ~misce~ [This message has been edited by miscellanea (12-08-2009 11:15 PM).] |

(Poet's Note: Sparked by my here to there movement, always on the run; Can't wait until Spring when things slow down and I have time and space for the missed creativity to settle in...) |

Love the hustle and bustle. Good to read you misce!! I'm seeing a bunch of little snapshots here, and they are so colorful and so much fun. |

a cute one~~ I am mostly unzipped or unbuttoned as the running around does tend to keep one warm on its own. ( I've given away my heaviest of coats but would love for a true Spring to come sooner.) Nice to read you again. Hope this has been a good year for you. M |

quote: You render the restlessness very well, dear Misce. Really a beautiful surprise to find you here on the blue pages! You are missed. To sit and talk for a few minutes should be possible, after all the relationships are important. May you have enough time for everything! This is highly creative and I enjoyed it much. Love, Margherita |

nakdthoughts, I chuckled when I read your response. Chalk one up to unzipped coats and hustle bustle. You've got a point! All the movement does tend to warm the bones! Here's wishing for an early Spring, too! Have a terrific week, M`. ~misce Margherita, What a pleasure it is to hear from you again. You always seem to pick up on my mood so well. It perked me up to find you found the poem creative. Thanks for taking time to read and respond. Be well, hugs, ~misce [This message has been edited by miscellanea (12-15-2009 05:26 PM).] |

Shed the lining or shed the whole, the comfort is not there, Until the season changes leaves, upzipped my coat I’ll wear. That really is a cute poem, most enjoyable. Lindsay |

Seems it's time to load the ink again. You can't write this well and wait this long to share some more. Nicely done... If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, |
