Loving you today, Missing you tomorrow A woman waits the day To see what will come in May As the clock ticks by Her eyes begin to pry Shea leans over the counter To see the real matter The test says she is And it could only be his As the months go along She knows there could be no wrong For now she has something in life That can only be given by a wife As the baby starts to come The father holds her tum As the baby says the first word Laughter and tears can be heard As the baby crawls on the floor The mother and father yearn for more Every dawn the mother will say I love you more and more each day And then one night the good Lord came down About to turn the mother's smile into a frown She will get one last glance But not one last chance For an angel carries the baby in the room The mother wakes and asks "so soon" The mother quietly speaks out And this is what love is all about For I will be loving you today And can no longer pray I will be missing you tomorrow For this was something you could never borrow I walk in the clouds, I sing in the dust |
