Two choices abide in the cloud of desire; descend and surrender unto the five senses of humankind or remain affixed in the sky of the sixth that writes of a true love story. Albeit the written word never can die it misses the essence of mortal life and remains forever distant and apart from the needs of a woman’s heart. And albeit the cloud is meant for the sky the five hold an appeal un-denied like the comfort of two hands entwined and the warmth of another’s touch. I like the five; they are the big five tall and proud in their strength to blanket the sixth with fantasy and make of the real a dream. And albeit the cloud floats casually by there’s turmoil and mayhem raging inside that builds and builds until choice suffocated and it sinks down dead to the ground. And there in that death it knows to arise purged of the sixth’s reality and walk steadfastly into the arms, the beautiful wide open arms, of the similar to the original love of a woman’s heart. Albeit that sometimes enough’s not enough that cloud’s on the ground, you see? Helen / 23 November 2009 |

I know my responses to you are short, Helen, but it's because I couldn't express my feelings any better than your words have. M |

Thanks, Maureen, and I do appreciate your responses be they short or not. I guess in the land of the sixth there's no separation one from the other which is okay but sometimes it can baffle the mind. And so of our feelings, a woman's feelings, they get entwined in a story or two and he (not a she because every "she" knows) who dissects them and gets to the core is nothing short of ... amazing! ![]() Helen |

Hellen, you are quite the phiosophizing love poet. You look at love from a variety of perspectives in your poetry. I always enjoy your musings on this illusive ~ and ofttimes elusive, subject! Love, Linda ![]() ![]() |

Dear Linda - Thank you. I guess that when it comes to the essential elements of life there's nothing else to look at. ![]() ![]() Helen |

Thanks so much, Lindsay, for your comment - and hug. Even "sad" has its purpose I suppose and if we dismiss it then it will keep coming back again. Know it, feel it and then let it go! To feel is to be! Helen |
