WWI Canadian soldier Thomas Stewart
Died in Flander’s Field, Belgium, in 1916

Blowing In the Wind
~ Linda L. Dowd ~

In dismal gray of rainy day,
a poppy-pinned lapel,
Reminds us all of Flanders Fields,
where lie the brave that fell.

A time for us to honour,
all those who fought and died.
Their loss was mourned by families,
as their nation’s peoples cried.

A war is so destructive,
~ No side can truly win.
Tears fall down from heaven,
as flags blow in the wind.

“The time has come for Man to lay down
his arms, and pick up each other.”
~ Linda L. Dowd

How very beautiful, Angelic One!! I often miss the audio because I read while at my work computer, but tonight I'm home and could enjoy all aspects of your presentation... and it really touched my heart. *S*

This was a truly solemn and poignant moment you offered to our minds and hearts, dearest Linda Angel.

The innocent softness of your voice created the perfect contrast between the horrors of war and the deepest voice of love that longs for peace for evermore.

Thank you for sharing the beauty of your soul here.

Love,
Margherita

I was blown away by the music and as I listened to you read your poem with the music it made me think you were speaking of the wars with the American Indian Nations and the loss of them. Great work here. Beautifully done.
Tell me in an email how I can do that with my poems?

Cosmic Princess ~

Margherita, you were detecting the emotions that I was experiencing as I listened to the soulful sounds of the Feng Shui music while reading and pondering the devastating effects of war.

As always, I am grateful for your insightful, caring response. You are a beautiful spirit.

Love, Harmony, and Peace,
Linda

Linda L Dowd, you have done it again, a truly beautiful tribute to all those brave

men who fell at Flanders Field. One of your very best. I loved it and you too.
