I took a stencil and outlined every person
They fit the page but they all lacked contentment
Building walls just to tear them apart
Reconsider everything that you are
I found it easier to go down the hard way
Everyone's talking but you don't hear what they say
Falling away from everyone that you've known
Not seen as tragic, just the way that it goes
I picked a page and watched it burst into ashes
But left myself to rot away in the past tense
And when I come back to this place that I've hated
I'll let myself go cause there's no one to save this
Falling away into the hands of a stranger
The lights go out, illuminating the anger
I took a pencil and outlined all I had left
It fit the page but the meaning lacked purpose

wow Emily, this one really touched me...it's sad but something about it just hits near my heart.

"Building walls just to tear them apart

"I took a pencil and outlined all I had left

This hit me squarely.
