I am now wary of the wisdom of children. It takes my unawares and pins me to the earth They pepper me with questions I cannot answer. Without showing myself to be a fool! They assault me with their innocence. They reveal to me my contradictions. In the way I think, in the way I reason Why did I not realize these faults myself? I will not say, “Because I said so.” or “You will understand when you are older.” Because it is my duty, without doubt, to give them a rational answer. Why did God make them so wise so as to see me in my foolishness. It's quite humiliating to be tricked, by the wisdom of children. |

Hopefully I'll never have to deal with this, and I have no idea what it's like, but from what I've heard from my parents, you captured it quite well. |

Thanks for replying folks. Children never cease to amaze me. My faults are so obvious to everyone but me. I takes a child to point them out. Thank God there is someone around to point them out to me or I would never grow. |

This is great, dear GBride! The newest generation seems to come to the world already instructed and wise ... I do understand this very well. When we are not able to answer their questions properly, we can also tell them that we can do a research together, after all we are not supposed to be omniscient. Anyway I agree with you, sometimes they come up with things that are not easy to handle. Very nice. Love, Margherita |
