They,
They,
They say,
Here they stood,
Memories forever stood,
Like a scar draped across the skin,
The tip of the knife is where it shall begin,
The voices echo so beautifully lit,
Opened the tap and it poured like a faucet,
They,
They say,
They sung to your hearts,
I guess thats where it starts,
To stain memories for a lifetime in the pages of us all,
Then it is I, it is us, who claim to be more then just us,
We gave you power, made you kings,
Just humans pretending to be superior things,
On the stage.

Excellent political commentary, Zach. I especially like the line: "...We gave you power, made you kings,
Just humans pretending to be superior things,
On the stage."
Strong and compelling work here.
