The Devastation of a Seafaring Vessel Into the dark, cold, frigid night engraves the full moon’s pale blue light upon the silhouetted shapes of daunting rocks and piercing capes that jut out in the settling mist that holds, enfolds the ones it’s kissed until they vanish out of sight into the dark, cold, frigid night where seagull rests and night owl screams as sailors wakened from their dreams remorse the starless jagged shore that rips the starboard to its core as briny waves of death rush in to capture those in their chagrin who kick and squirm with all their might into the dark, cold, frigid night, but, then, a whisper, not too faint, is heard from merging craft, a Saint repeating evermore, His voice repeating plain, repeating choice to hold the Lifeline and be saved or drown within the angry waves, “Please, hold!” He says, “Please, hold on tight into the dark, cold, frigid night!” God bless, Lighthouse Bob [This message has been edited by Lighthousebob (11-02-2009 05:31 PM).] |

As I read this to my 8 year old granddaughter who is here after school, she said, "Which Pirates of the Caribbean is this one from Gramma?" LOL, before I could explain it was from a Passions poet. Cute, it was. Suthern said basically what I was about to say. Excellent as usual Bob. |

Impressive write, dear Bob! It sounds as if you had been right there in midst of those fighting the waves and you put in the voice of hope that reenergizes even those in despair. Hauntingly crafted. Love, Margherita |

suthern, WoW! Did I do that? (A bit of Steve Urkel) Smiles. Anyway, I really do appreciate all of the wonderful, wonderful explicatives and, as Mysteria points out, I do think, with them, you’ve covered my poem very, very well. Thank you, again, thank you for your astuteness and, as always, God bless. oh_ok, Again, WoW! Thank you. ‘Brilliant’ is such wonderful, wonderful word in that it does fill my mind with thoughts of such bright color and clear vibrant vision. Again, thank you for your kind words and, as always, God bless. Oh, Mysteria, Thank you, thank you for picking up on my Yoda-speak. I love it! Anyway, I think I’m in love with your little Granddaughter as well. Big Smiles. Well, then, let me say that I’m very, very proud to have my poem mentioned with the likes of that witty Jack Sparrow and the strapping Will Turner. Thank you, Sharron, and, also, much thank you’s to your little Granddaughter. … and, yes, I do agree with you that that suthern gal pretty much covered it all! Smiles. Again, God bless and thank you. Allison, You are very kind, thank you, and I’m very happy that you are enjoying the poetry that I’ve written so far and, yes, I do hope that I am blessed to write a few more. Thanks again and God bless. Margherita, Who? Muah? (A bit of Miss Piggy) Smiles. Anyway, Margherita, thank you for your complimentary compliments and, especially, in that I would love to be the one in that role of being a voice of hope to those in time of despair or need, thank you. Thank you, thank you, Love, and God bless. Again, thank you's and God blesses to All, -Bob |

I hate to use this as a "begging forum" but my two grandchildren wanted to know if you are going to write something I can read to them this Christmas Eve. We have a tradition I started when Tori was only 3, that each of us brings some poetry to read by the fire on Christmas Eve. It calms them down before the "big morning" and mellows the adults out a little too. So...as Tasha would say, "Pahlllleeeezzzze?" We have favorites from here we re-read but they love your poetry now Bob, so I shamelessly ask you for them. |

Mysteria, Of course I will, for the Children... Big Smiles! ...and, of course, for my good friend Sharon! However, I do think that I'll be starting on something right away because not only you and your Grandchildren would like for me to write something, but, also, the children at church do need something to present for Christmas and I do need to present it to them and to give them time to prepare and time to practice and so on and so on. I'm thinking of writing a poetic type narrative from the perspective of the Spirit of God. Oh, my, my, sorry to ramble, anyway, of course I will! God bless, -Bob |
