Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2009-10-26 03:43 PM

Been feeling a bit psychotic
These daze
They come like déjà vu
Ghosts glimpses twinges
Red flags and herrings

Divided bipolar ying yanging
Full pendulum swing
Trying to believe
I’ve filled my double chin
With wisdom and superstition
Not fear and humiliation

Wisdom tells me
We’ve been around this block before
Superstition listens
Pays attention

I discuss it among my selves

A multiple choice
Semester exam
With essays on morality
True / false on reality

Spring cleaning soul search inventory
Assets debits
Options
Reorganization diversification intoxication liquidation
Repetition
Intuition
Circles cycles orbits
Laws of nature
That brings the pendulum to a stop
Dead center

And until that day
It will pass and linger
A little more each way
Coming closer bit by bit
Ups and downs dwindling with momentum
Sliding with the sand through the vortex
Of the cerebral cortex and synaptic activity

I recognize my sanity
Each time it passes by
I smile and wave
We chat a bit
About winter coming
And time for conversations
About growing old and going crazy

(prophecy)

LOL, I recognize a few things in this.
The questions and the answers change from year to year though!

Very masterful, Lady Lori.  This one hits a new high for this Ancient Hippie.  Way cool, lady.
Thanks, and
Peace

I got tired of pretending to be sane.
Now it seems, most people think that I am...
I just don't care.
As long as it doesn't hurt
It's O.K. by me

And I do like this poem...

Started me thinking...

Who said that it is bad luck to be superstitious?
