The sun shun through the night and the whiskey of the party lasted until the early hours of the morning. Friday turned to Saturday, and the streets emptied to the music beset by conversation. Long laughs and blurred sight, round and long faces from the kitchen to the bathroom door. The elevator going back and forth like the past to present. The present moment, where I sat on the couch, remembering a sip of whiskey didn't always broaden my lips into a smile. As a child, I was happy to be alive, To be young, and a revelation deserted the party into my head, to rediscover that magic, again. |
