Roam Of Autumn Restlessly, leaves turn in fiery blush Drawn up in their façade of speechless optimism My fingers sensate to know the language of fall Making arrows of my arms, reaching up to fondle colors That so reflect the peachy hue of my own thoughts now The retrospect of overcast days, weep their stillness Rain relentlessly scours the sullen grass, seeking crevice to fill Nourishing the soil for winter still, preparing the netherworld to dream My eyes explore the arms of trees, pine skirts move about the breeze Might I pocket gold and crimson smiles to hold Horizons beat with thrift, as far as I can see, as far as I can walk Moving between my favorite now and then Roam of autumn back again Restlessly, leaves turn in fiery blush That I might meet the days face up, in peaceful plenty Copyright Kkh 10/9/09 |
