All that I have has been offered to you My body lifted up, presented to you Sacrifices, none too great to perform My offerings, in this way, will not harm Wrap myself in robes of white shimmering Underneath star filled sky glimmering Wreaths of holly placed upon my head To remain after robes of white I shed Bleeding sweat for every drop that I bled And standing grey as stone with arms outspread Encircled before flames consume me whole Transfixed, sacrificed to a higher goal I come and lay my body down by you For salvation, nothing I would not do |

I have goose flesh head to toe reading this, and think of tears of blood, and the one who gave all. With such vivid wordpaint you have penned a very powerful poem--stunning and beautifully done! ~KL |
