The waves wash over me Whispers in my ear Haunting melody A song I’ve come to fear Pulls me down below Drowns me in its tears Tells me where to go But I remain right here And my soul cries out in pain Grips me endlessly Then darkness comes with rain Comes to carry me And I would fall from grace If they would let me be In the waves I see your face Looking back at me |

So poignant. This brings back all the fear of the storms in the south, that changed some of my friend's lives forever. Every year that same anxiety builds, and it gets bigger every year. Well written. |

I've read this both as the storms of life and those of love... and found it painful perfection whatever the interpretation. And to think... I used to marvel at the power of a storm... Now? *S* I cower! *S* |

I agree with shellie - good writing, Jerry. I'll just tuck this one away. Alison |
