The words have slipped from my mind
so sensual, so sublime

the silver nickel
sumptuous sickle
caught the thought

that time erased
the mold

from whence it came
this heart cooled

to cold

grasping at straws
of vernacular guise

only read by disappearing eyes

they come, they go
leaving ne'er the hole

to be felt
filled
consoled

all the while my dry lids
close

releasing my memory
in prose...

A cold heart isn't a good start for anything, I would say. Get yourself out into the sun and feel the warmth, dear Brad. ... the rest will follow.

You always write with impact.

Love,
Margherita
