Right behind your exagerrated hearts
you can see Mount St Helens
grasping ephemeral clouds,
erupting like a disrupted monument
to claim possession of its soul,
living there since millions years
and angry about mindless men
disturbing the calm of the Hearth.

A nice evocative write on Mt. St, Helens.
I've been there once, but unfortunatly it was raining that day, so I couldn't hike, which was a great dissapointment to me.
I do think your tribute to this mountain is fitting.

A striking, powerful portrait of words... well done! *S*

Just so! Men better be aware of the risks of disrespect ...

You have wonderfully interpreted Mount St. Helen.

May 18,1980 she blew.  It seems like just yesterday the northwest was digging itself out of the ash.  Wow...I can't believe it has been nearly thirty years.

A beautiful depiction of her in your poem.

yann,

I love your poetry - but I especially love your poetry about your US travels.  You see things with such an artistic eye - and you share it with such expression.
