Lone Survivor (Rondeau) Come fly away in autumn’s breeze So taunt the leaves blown off the trees Gone twirling, swirling through the sky In auburn mixed with blues on high That fills the poet eyes to please. I watched them dance across with ease In varied sizes and degrees Of elegance while drifting nigh And whispering their soft reply … “Come fly away.” I watched them serenade and tease And dip they did down to their knees As tumbling wayward, gone awry They all went spinning, grinning by One slightly letting go its squeeze … “Come fly away!” God bless, Lighthouse Bob |

Bob! That is a FANTASTIC Rondeau! That is one of my favourite forms to read and to write! Not only was the form exquisite, but so was the theme of it! Thoroughly enjoyed! ![]() ![]() ![]() Linda |

Most beautiful indeed, dear Bob! It makes one stop and absorb the beauty you convey. It has a very captivating melody woven in. Love, Margherita ![]() |

Thank you ladies for your kind replies and, Linda, in that this is my first Rondeau ever, I am quite surprised and very appreciative of your response. Again, thank you All and God bless, -Bob |
