In the western land of peat and mist Over ancient, Celtic bones A warning of The Hour, I heard From The Keeper of The Stones He said: "When the fading, summer candle Burns its flickering last When Autumn's door, ajar, bursts forth With spirits of the past Laws of time and laws of space Are suspended at this hour So paint your face; raise loud your voice Deflect the spirits' power Douse the fires, admit the dark Waive the warmth of welcome Beware, they seek a host, these ghouls Pursuing Earthly kingdom Neither flame nor flicker sanction And you shall send them back Terrestial realm shall warm again Relit from Usinach!" |

So, I totally had to Google "Relit from Usinach"! Loved the folklore and the imagery. Aenea If I don't say it...who will? |

Thank you, Aenea, turn off the lights, and turn up your radio. And thinking of 'turn up your radio'. Try some more Googling...go to you tube...search Caravan- Van Morrison- last Waltz. He may look like a little, red-headed, high-kicking, Irish pixie....but, man, he could sing. |

Great Write, Happy Halloween! There are places in the heart that do not yet exist; suffering has to enter in for them to come to be - LeonBloy |
