Love is such a fragile thing,
as fragile as dew
on a spider's string.
A delicate glistening bead,
shining bright
in the morning sun...
of youth.

Love is ever a fragile thing
though vows be sealed
with a golden ring.
Still it often fades and dies
with the trials of time...
and truth.

Alas, 'tis often true. Love can be a very fragile thing. ~ Like a violet.

..."it often fades and dies
with the trials of time...
and truth."

I believe Love is the only real truth there is ... but we don't recognize it and we are not aware of the true power of love, sadly.

Love sealed with a ring is no doubt very fragile, as the increasing divorces show!

Great poem, dear Ida.

Love,
Margherita

A poem to tuck away as a reminder - it might serve to remind us all that strength only remains when we work at it.

Love you, Ida.

hi Marchmadness, I feel a bit strange commenting on other peoples work when I am so new to this (like teaching grandma to suck eggs maybe?) but, speaking from personal experience it's only when we learn to let go that something truly wonderful happens..?

Brava woman!!

One of your very best!!
I especially like what you said about the spiders string
and glistening bead.  In the morning sun no less!!
Truly a lovely visual to go with your tender heart of a poem.
