The Girl You Love (That You Can't Get)

The girl you love that you can't get
of course she loves another
and you're left in the rain, soaking wet
and slowly going insane

The girl you love that goes away
no way you can get her back
and you'll always be alone, every day
and chilled to the bone

The girl you love that doesn't love you
you can't make her love you
'cause she doesn't care about you
and you die a little inside

Ain't this fun,
everytime you say you're done
with all this love
any time she smiles,
you write bad songs
and awkward rhymes for her
of course you know she don't smile at you
and you fall back down again
and pack it in
that's how it goes

The girl you love she's moving on
no way you can do the same
and you'll hear her in every song
but she doesn't hear a thing

The girl you love that you can't get
of course she forgot you
but you don't want to forget
and you know you never will
that's how it goes
