With the sorrow The death of tomorrow There is no dream There is no breath We sing we dance We turn a river to a stream We bring the chance Of heaven turning into hell Built us a wall so tall Then it crumbled and fell And in my drunken state I made you mistake Made you just a memory So listen to the melody Of this sinful poetry It'll take the sin Have it reborn again Take the pleasures Into pain Have the rain Caught in a cage We enslave the world That gives us life One day it'll cut the cord Then begins the true strife When I got home You smiled, then cried My soul was young My words had lied Now its gone Forever and always Was such a short time Forever and always Not this time So I started on my dirt road Lookin for my heart thats been stole Can only hope that my silver tongue Can pay the toll "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars."
