If I fell into a bottomless pit Would you light me a candle So at least it was lit? I saw you standing, crying No one to see, no one to care I saw you there, I was spying I'd be the one to be, for you there Odd to say Change my mind Mold it like clay Just promise This life of sin That we are livin' in Will never break me As if I'd be noticed Through the darkness I fell A smile played a melody to hell Through the darkness I saw A candle drifting straining to be Noticed I called her "Faith" She became my friend Know this She came to an end Lost to the darkness My dearest faith did Once so bright now spark less I like to believe From the hate, she hid (Under Construction) "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." Faith is stronger than darkness, I believe. The candle isn't burnt down yet ... You constructed this well. Love, Margherita |
