shadows of a different passion =================================== Dispassion is my father’s raincoat which I have borrowed not to return. An earl-grey evening, tea is made; windows can’t measure off season’s rain. I tattooed my mind with an image of the rain god’s presence; we have tea while laying the blueprints of schemes to wash away tears from the streets. My father’s raincoat hangs on, cornered. Rain and I dream quite passionately. ======================================== © [This message has been edited by poddarku (09-20-2009 09:59 AM).] |

You and the rain ... framed by your father's raincoat. It is an object, but you keep it as it represents a means to deepen your consciousness. Rain is indeed a wonderful conductor for imagination. Love it! Hugs. Margherita "Love is the One who masters all things; |

"I tattooed my mind with an image" Nicely phrased. I like what you do with rain imagery. |

As always, I love every syllable of this in all the beauty of its shades and shadows, in all its ambiguity and symbolism, its sadness (yet the poem's determination to be itself within its own happiness), its sensitive and vibrant imagery, its paradox, irony, passion and sculpted words, but my favourite, favourite, favourite line is: "to wash away tears from the streets" for as many reasons as there are tears.
