Drolly and dreary Weary and wry Singing a song So no one will cry Lay you down softly And leave you to sleep But from empty eyes The liquids still seep Tomorrow, tomorrow I’ll lie by your side Silent and still As if I had died Drift into dream Rest without sound And if I should wake Before I am found I’ll sing to you gently The sins I recall And damn the crude irony Cursing it all |
