Been a long time since I've been here. WEnt through my email trying to find my old poems, and find a link back to this site I wrote this poem towards the begining of this year. It's a poem to my future wife (whomever she may be). It doesn't ryhme (atleast most of the time), but it's meant to convey what I felt that night. After half a year, it is still unnammed. I'm thinking something along the lines of "need", "alone", or simply her name when I know it. My heart is the ocean waves restless in their constant motion empowered by the mere thought of you My mind is the mustang cutting throug hthe wind in the constant search for the one who has captivated it My eyes are the scourching fire consumed by the burning desire of the relentless hunger ignited for the sight of you My ears are the mighty canyon cut off from the music of the world in dier agony to echo the melody of your enchanting voice My life is a vast desert constantly expanding through the seasons of time fulfilled in the sence of what it is created and sustanied by Almighty God and yet, somehow, seemingly incomplete without the oasis of your love. I am half a man a nomad in a barran land in this land of love which no man may master. I have no place to lay my head so I serch for instead the one with whom I shall no longer roam but declare with you, I am finally home. "The Bud may have a bitter taste, but sweet will be the flower." - William Cowper |
