Miss Connie Laws A very smart lad was our capricious young Johnny Who was near the top of his class at the school, A lovely young lady was the schoolteacher Connie, Who quite often found Johnny just playing the fool. One day Johnny dropped his pen on the floor, Just at the time when the teacher walked past, It was a habit that as a teacher she had to deplore But bent over to retrieve it before giving Johnny a blast. Johnny burst out laughing in a high state of glee When the teacher asked what was the joke, “The garter on your stockings was what I could see,” Was his answer, after laughing, when he spoke. “You naughty boy Johnny, that’s being quite rude, You pack up your books and go home for the day, That sort of behavior in class we must surely exclude And your bad manners you will not here display.” Next day young Johnny was back at his desk When he saw the lovely young Connie advance, When his ruler hit the floor she was not impressed But she bent over to retrieve it as Johnny looked on askance. He burst out laughing loudly, in a high state of mirth, As she spun around quickly to ask what was the cause, He said, “to follow your instructions I know there’s a first, But I couldn’t help but see your panties Miss Laws.” She said Johnny, “I told you; you must not be rude, Now immediately go home for the rest of the week, Don’t come back till next Monday, but with a new attitude Or a much steeper sentence I will certainly seek.” Next Monday Johnny was back at the school as before When Miss Laws came up to correct his week’s work, Young Johnny purposely dropped his pen on the floor, Which was quickly followed up by a whimsical smirk. The teacher bent over as on previous accounts, Just as young Johnny already knew that she would, Laughing loudly as he headed for the door with a flounce, He said, “ I’m certainly going home this time for good.
