The words of a child
Are swaddled in truth
Simplicity crowned by
The wonder of youth

A whim to remember
A thought to engrave
Into books where angelic
Expressions are saved

I meant to repeat it
To loved ones and friends
And savor the joy
That such sharing extends

Oh, how did I let
Such a lyrical phrase
Slip deep into yesterdays
Mystical haze?

Oh, another sweet gem
From a babe's tender  lips
To be etched on a page
By these old fingertips

No need for a pencil
I’m really quite clever
I’ll remember this one, dear
For ever and ever

I ran a daycare for about ten years, and to this day each child is so precious to me.  It was not only a magical time in their lives, but also in mine.

Your poem is special to me.  Thanks,  and happy Saturday to you.

Liz, I still remember the things my girls use to say or ask me. Especially, my youngest daughter.

How true Liz.  Well, I have a little story as usual.  I said to my daughter-in-love I think I will join the Rec Center to lose some of this weight I've been putting on as I feel fat.  She said, "Well you sure don't look fat, you look great!"  My granddaughter pipes up in a loud voice and says, "Mommy don't you remember?  You told Daddy this morning when we were eating pancakes that  Gramma was getting fat!

Out of the mouths of babes is right.  You have to love them - and animals.

Ha Ha, Granma
Now I have a story
I bought a new air conditioner, and Oh what a difference!
As I was bringing my gradchildren to my house, i said, "Now as soon as you walk into my house, you're going to notice a tremendous differnce.
My little granddaugter says, "Is it organized?"
Love you, doll
