September And the weather Is cool And the sky Is clear and God Is not yet dead Sugar and spice And everything nice With long white tails On bright red kites And soon The leaves will take Their autumn colors on I’ll bring out my green jacket And you your brown coat Cardinals and jays Chipmunks and squirrels Ducks and geese On a small town lake And I’ve learned to love How those two blue stars So light up the world When I make you laugh . |
