I took a long walk onto the curvy wooded path, evening sun slowly faded into cotton candy skies, a most magical evening to remember, summer dies, as fall comes in celebration of death, Walking past green ferns, underneath tall pines, I sat for a bit, taking a moments rest, peacefulness, so serene, life changes, this was a fork in my road, I had to think. Had all of life came to this? the now? here? what lies ahead? on this long walk in the wood, reflection came as I peered into a small leaf, filled with yesterdays rain, lots of rain, Stormy weather, I guess I am a storm chaser, here I am in the middle of this huge forest, filled with tall green trees, my vision is clouded. I have to decide the path, to finish, I want to see the golden meadows that await, meadows filled with sunshine at the end of the forest, I gather myself up, onward I press, Taking each step, day by day, one day I will reach that field, I press on, not looking back, the shadows are leaving me. I can see a glimmer of gold through the trees, miles and miles away, seems out of reach, but I press on, happiness awaits for me, For tomorrows dreams await me at the end of this path, no more words need I express. and so, I press on. |
