The Nineteenth Hole I met her there, by the ball washer, She looked to be confused, I’m new to the game, would you show me how? I smiled and acted amused, It’s really quite simple, if you feel the need, Wash your balls before you play, Then dry them carefully, and inspect them, You will enjoy them the rest of the day, She looked quite shocked, and started to wonder, If I knew what I was talking about, Then I unzipped my bag, and pulled out a pair, To leave her with out any doubt, She laughed and said, would you like to play a round, For I do not have a partner, When she smiled at me, in her expression I could see, That my game wouldn’t be the same, with out her, Then to my surprise, as I started to swing, She bent over to place her T, I could hardly believe, what her short skirt revealed, Nothing covering where her panties should be, Do you golf for fun, or should we make this interesting, What do you want to play for? Well, she was game, and she came to win, Because she planned on keeping score, I must admit, she made it hard, Each time she tee’d up her ball, I couldn’t help look, at that hazardous trap, And she let me see it all, But I am no quitter, and I made her work, For every stroke she got, And in the end, she let me win, I beat her on the very last shot, A deal is a deal, and she promised to pay, Though I’m quite sure that was her goal, On an open green, I pulled out my Wood, And I drove the nineteenth hole. The answer is always NO, Until the question is asked. |

I am still trying to figure out what PAR was on the 19th. I hope they filled in the divits afterward. Thanks for your wonderful comments, I understand it's played different over there? Love always, Tracey |

Thanks Sue, This is the third of my Golfing Trilogy. I am glad you liked it. I hope I left a little to the imagination, without spelling it all out. Love always, Tracey |

Hi Tracey, it's good to see your name again as you are one of my favourite poets. It sounds like you will be having another game of golf very soon but don't tell the wife. Great write my friend. Take care. Lindsay |

Didn't I mention that I met my wife on the golf course? Well, ok I met her for lunch at the club house, after my game. I will always remember the day that I got a "Hole in One." Lindsay, thank you for the wonderful compliment, and comments on my poem. Maybe This is the poem that should have been titled "Golfing Hazards" or "Now I know why the greens fees are so high." Take care my friend, Tracey. |
