The Art of Monet Always fascinated by Monet and his renderings of people and landscape, he would wait patiently for the fall of of just the right light. Out of his many paintings he is not to be outdone by his Lillie's in the pond or patrons on the terrace partaking of tea or just enjoying a walk in the sun. Persons of another era finding joy at a picnic in their finest viewing would always intrigue, those who would follow, but might never exceed..he is a virtuoso in his own right and in another time. |

Monet paintings are truly exquisite, and yes, he was a master of light and shadow, painted gorgeous floral scenes. His human subjects always held an air of mystery. |

I couldn't agree with you more! And Renoir, Cezanne, Degas... the list goes on. They captured the heart's light as well as visible light, I think... peaceseaker, It was a pleasure to be reminded of such beauty by one who appreciates such beauty! Please excuse me while I inhale! Thank you for your poem. It is a great to start out the day! With this thread, I'm gonna to end my travels on the blue pages. It has such a nice flavor, I don't want to lose it. I've added it to my library for future ponderings. Thanks, misce' |

I like Monet's art, too, as he captures the softness of summer light in warm and gentle color so often. Also the social aspect of the time is interesting and I catch myself imagining what the people are talking about. Great impressionist! Your tribute is well done. ~KL |

When I was a little girl, sometimes I would get the spend the night in my eldest sister's room with her. I loved that. We'd share a bed and she'd read to me. But, in the morning, I had to be still and quiet. She had Monet Prints on her wall and I'd lose myself in them. I'd imagine I was the little girl in them - or living in that beautiful world. I had forgotten that until your poem. Thank you ~ Alison |
