The clouds were lit in sunfire their textured beauty filled the sky Much more beautiful than I recall noticing in a long time I looked for meaning all I could see was glory And wonder as my tears released I thought about you I knew you were afraid I prayed for your peace, for your loved ones And the earth continued as it always does glorious and then I pondered your life how it is like the magnificent sky you are so beautiful so compelling and lovely of how I will miss you when it is your time but I don’t want to say good-bye not yet. |
