When I'm awake, moving through disparate worlds searching for a pulse to slake my clinging yearning thirst for life's rivulets of sustenance, I never weep, yet I awake at times with tears upon my pillow wet, as if it's rained within my dreams, in pains enough to rouse my tired soul from its paradise of sleep. ©2009 by icebox [This message has been edited by icebox (11-07-2009 08:45 PM).] |

Succinct and nicely done. Dreams are the safety valve of the mind. |

icebox - Leaving the paradise of sleep is certainly reason enough to cry. Your dreams were raining love and your soul responded with emotion. Well, I don't know of course but that's my opinion for what it's worth. Good writing as usual. Helen |

Ever thought that they might also be tears of joy? I believe when we sleep and dream our souls recharge their love energy ... Besides this my own point of view, I can relate also to your take on it. This is an incredibly profound and beautiful write, dear Charlie. Love, Margherita |

Sleep...a blessing and a mystery. I think Margharita is right, as good an explanation as any on sleep. Enjoyed. Ida |

these days, I search for that pulse all the time. Yes it has to be the rain in my dreams that does it. Yeah. to my fellow trucker in memory |
