Peach Tea The suppose that garnets your mouth in jest Lifts my spirit and my eyes Twists free the cap on cool, so each sip is sweet I have seen my share of shoreline and sand Sparkled back at the summer heat in reflection Carved castles in the banks of rivers and seas Consider all of these, my time The quicken of night is always welcome Wetted throat that glides of voice and simmered promises Swept hem of linen dress, knees drawn up to preen content Remarkable, as fade and suede of days dance by Pouring more of me in productivity, until I am an empty grain Sometimes to cry, sometimes to marvel Still, when thus, the simple truth of talk to me breeze Whispers sonata on my bare shoulders The suppose that garnets your mouth in jest Is a summer drink that I aspire to serve by starlight strum Copyright Kkh 7/31/09 |
