So what's outside your window as you wake up in the morn? What things would you like sharing of the place where you were born? Our members span the globe to prove that poetry endures And come from many walks of life to share with us...what's yours? /pip/Forum3/HTML/004736.html |

My alarm clock is a flock of birds in the pine tree, that seem to think the sun will come up quicker if they call to it. It's pitch black, but they know, any minute now they will be able to see each other and will no longer have to squawk so loud to the bird right next to them. My garden has a giant zucchini that is out of control. 3 foot long and as big around as my thigh. (we let it grow for the fair) Blue ribbon winner if ever I saw one. Windows open, summer breeze blowing through, Life is good in Northern Utah. The answer is always NO, Until the question is asked. |

A sheep grazes outside our window, yet we call it Dog, It greets the cars and bleats at us, having mental fog. Around the tree it rings in loops Following me around; A peek a boo sheep-y dog, In hooves, in rhythm clogs. Buckston’s in his doghouse, Guardian of air and land Barking at his shadow, At anything that lays or stands. His specialty is bird, flyinn’ high above his roof, For winged things, escapes from him an extra blankin’ woof. Our country home is simple, No other place I’d choose to be, Not far from weed and thistle Or, from flowers on the trees, From wooded hills and valley shaded From graceful running stream, We have it in a nutshell, Life, an ever-budding green. miscellanea....nice. Follow the link and submit it. Where is this corner of the world? No deadline yet. I'll play it by ear and set a deadline later based on the number of entries. |

Thanks for your response, BDeer. In reference to the earthly place I reside: oHIo is the place I live, where the summer's hot and the winter's cold, where I'd like to be when I grow old... Well, may be, just may be, I'd like to change Live in Colorado, Arizona, The enchanted range of New Mexico Yet, Cape Cod is the place to breathe No hay fever, no allergies... Ohio's okay, Ohio's all right, Less allergy season, In oHIo, I'll stay as I might... misce' |
