I sold myself for a handful of could have beens And laid down among gods of wishful want Offered up to the sky and changing winds As a ghost that promised not to haunt With all devices become bare before me Of thoughts I dared not speak aloud Given in to drowning in your sea Then there came a contentious cloud For reasons to discover I must endeavor Surely fate held her sage council otherwise Than to take ties in infancy to sever Of ones between us that shall always bind If not given a chance to pass heartache’s tests Souls cannot merge through our glorious within And at the end of the day I shall look to the west Where I lay claim to my futile should have beens For only a day seems now that we once were friends The brevity only adds to my deepest sense of sorrow As the horizon pulls you farther west as the day ends Know that you shall resound deeper with every tomorrow |

Know that you shall resound deeper with every tomorrow Such a compelling resonance, dear J.! If clarity can be reached, the sound will increase in purity and beauty. Love, Margherita "Love is the One who masters all things; |
