there will always be that whisper of words place where you are the first time friend's fingers touching the brow of an early morning window we will listen to the texture of old boards turning gray under sea saliva afternoons as they weave their moan sounds in slumber an orphaned wind in mischief shoes dancing will leave a stranger's prints on our castles but we will still recline in the sawdust of stones our forests will be the hillsides of long shadows but we will not fear their lions of winter as we draw taut the bows of entwined fingers and bind them as odin's fetters around our roses ______________ daark |
