Paint a smile on my face, Using lipstick and a ton of lace. Put me in a dress of pink, Faster than sending me to a shrink. Paint my nails, do my hair up, Drink up the lies in a golden cup. You ask me if I'm alright, I tell the lies and hold my breath tight. Look at me this is a lie, Really inside I would rather die. Once I was so innocent, But now in my brain there is a dent. Please God take away this cold, To test me this way lord tis not gold. Please dear God make me feel cold, If I am all in I choose to fold. I'm not learning anything, I thought you were meant to be our king. I have asked for forgiveness, For all my sins but with no success. See all these scars, see this cut, These are for the times you’ve shut me out. If this is really perfect If this is really healthy Then I doubt I am truly correct One question still remains why, why, why? |
