Night's Embrace

The pristine,
the cool, soft night.
The folding dark,
the sweet starlight.

I breathe the air;
so light, so cool
and stare into
the moon's bright pool.

A breeze comes through,
in flows the air
and ruffles through
my unbound hair.

It feels so safe,
the night will keep.
I gently sigh
and fall asleep.
