Like a predator of the night His eyes glow at the sight Curiosity grows with delight His victim for tonight. He sticks close to the ground His ears prickling with the sound A need for the one his found His got his next rebound. He stalks her through the black His senses leading to the snack Too immersed to turn back His ready for attack. He pounces from behind His urges all unwind Adrenaline forcing him blind He devours his new find. Inside this exterior, over which the eye might have roved there was the record of a pulsing life, which had learnt too well for its years – Thomas Har |
