Hello. This actually happened to a senior girl in my school the day before the senior prom. -- Darkness covered the highway Snuck up between cracks Trailed in between cars Used stars to cover its own tracks Cell phone in hand Laughter, a smile, and even a squeal Her heart in her hands Her hands on the wheel The brake of a truck failed The driver turned into stone The truck went out of control The girl dropped her phone Lights flashed against the darkness Blue, red, white, blue, red, white Paramedics, policemen, firemen They all knew it wasn't alright Blood dripping bright red From the drivers head The girl limp against the glass Lying in her deathbed Small town is shocked Never happened in a town this size The family of both is stricken Neither one ready to say its goodbyes Forever, |
