I thought I knew you
you seemed to be always there
but in the end you turned on me
All i could do was stare

I ducked for cover
but you wouldnt have any of that
you told me to get up from there
while you go and get your bat

I stood there frozen
like a solid rock
i could here your footsteps
creeping tick tock

time is running out for me
i really should get clear
if i stay here much longer
I will shed a tear

and the one i thought i had
how could things change so quikly
you were supose to be a dad

im out on the lawn now
looking left and right
i here you behind me
your giving me such a fright

the next thing i know
your on the ground
i look up and see a man
holding you down

that man was my hero
ill never forget his name
