Cherophobia Today was a long day Standing on my feet Heart strung out to dry Past caring to compete Skin was looking pale As I sunk down with a sigh Mouth couldn’t smile But I didn’t even try Standing in a fog of My own loneliness I bidn’t try to help myself Out from this ugly mess Pushing people too far Beyond what was right Only got myself to blame As I spurred on every fight Put on a pair of sunglasses To hid my silent need For somebody to pick me up And listen to me bleed My sorrow and unhappiness My bad thoughts and my grief The doubt that sits upon my mind Bled out with great relief But I don’t have a somebody To take me in their hand To put sunshine into my heart And just try to be my friend.
