I fell in love with a Robot Boy
I clung to his metal frame
A solid sturdy friend of mine
I wasn't completely sane..

I'd fallen in love with the Robot Boy
But hey he did have a heart!
Like all computers, he was shiney
and smart

But how foolish was I to try,
and teach the heart?
Staring pleadingly into his red bulb eyes
it was doomed from the start

I still love my Robot Boy
my heart began to rust
all the tears, for all the years
formed a nasty crust

I pray I leave my Robot Boy
I kiss his metal face
For his wires could never generate
a second loving embrace

My dear mechanical Robot Boy,
his light has not gone out
Though here I am left behind
metal heart suffocated by the doubt.
