when I opened the
jewelry box i saw
ebony and clear
images

as if they were on
the t.v. screen when
i scrutinized the
flashbacks

I remembered that
these were my astray
memories that were
left behind

when each of them
passed by I felt
nostalgic and reminisced
the past bit by bit

I was being
pulverized and
hurt by the memories
itself

when these memories
reminded me of you
i felt like locking away
these memories within my heart

that's why i took this
antique jewelry box
and locked it back again
so that I won't have to remember you

thank you actually that was for a assignment for class for my junior yr so i had to write a poem and read it in front of the class and i loved this poem too even though i write i have a few faves
