Quickly flowing—flooding down— the saline droplets hit the ground. As frozen as my frigid heart; the one that swiftly broke apart. The only love I’d ever known. The only fondness ever grown in a heart that knew not how to love. I tried, loved; lost my mourning dove. The simple peace of “us” and “we,” the fervent calm that sheltered me. Sequestered in the tempest’s eye, I lived without the ken of cry. I misinterpreted the signs; forgot to read between the lines. The naïve nestling didn’t see the signs that said, “You’re leaving me.” The hourglass continues on. I’ve not once cried since you’ve been gone. I’ve seen that you were not the end and found new love amongst my friends. The little lamb you left behind, has found herself and redefined the naïve girl—she found her mind. The angel saw and left the blind. Misa: I can't imagine a world without Light! |

Yeah, this is potent. It's like being pizza slapped but it's still frozen. ·´~`·»Garapan«·´~`· "Look! Crumbs on his jacketses... Heeee took it!" |

Your first two lines are genius! I like the message in this poem, I think it would be more eloquent, perhaps, in free verse. I miss reading your stuff! -Kate On the black coated walls, they wrote my doom. |
