Childhood fears I would gladly take back I would gladly have again Just take this fear Take it and go I want my joy back I want my happiness back Just take this fear Take it and go The fear of almost adulthood Catching up to me Knocking my breath away Lungs aching I carry on As day by day More fears come Things keep creeping up As life surrounds Childhood pain I would gladly take back I would gladly have again Just take this pain Take it and go I want my joy back I want my happiness back Just take this pain Take it and go Never knowing what's coming next I turn my back and I'm hit again from behind I pick myself up And dust off my knees Blood dripping down my back I wipe it off and carry on The blows keep coming The losses surrounding Childhood I would gladly take back I would gladly have again Just take this life Take it and go I want my joy back I want my happiness back Just take this pain Take it and go |
