Praying Everything Will Be Alright

Hey, I'm back for a little. Here's a new poem, it's definitely not one of my best. Please let me know what you think.

Her eyes were bloodshot
She had been crying for days
How could she ever love him
He had hurt her in so many ways
He'd come in drunk
And she was the only one there
With no one else to turn to
He'd beat her with not one care
She tried to hide the hurt and pain
Everyday she pretended to be ok
But when he got home
It was the same thing day after day
She loved him so she never told a soul
She used make up to cover the black eyes
Not knowing who to tell or what to do
Everyday she tells more lies
She lies to the world just for one man
This man that hurts her and makes her sad
But this man means a lot to her
This man is her dad
Her dad drinks and beats her till he feels better
Her dad comes into her room with anger everynight
Leaving her in a bloody mess sometimes
Leaving her praying everything will be alright.
