There is nothing left in my memory Of what once was for us Instead there grows another thought Of someone new I love Sometimes nostalgia catches me My mind turns your way "Does he thing of me?" I wonder I wonder, never say There is no aching longing Just a simple lonely heart That tires of the heavy life That started at our part Previous strifes seem distant In their petty, childish ways This new life I've aquired Has wrapped our past in haze I don't know what might have been The outcome is the same We were't meant to be together There is no fault, no blame I wonder if you miss me At times when I'm alone Sometimes I find I miss you And long hours on the phone But there's no point in looking back When the future looms so near I'll miss you Steve, good bye Thanks for all the years "What are you!?" |
